Text Linked Images

The WordPress Text Linked Images plugin lets you display an image, advert, CTA button, or anything you like next to specific parts of your webpage content.

What does the plugin do?

To explain I will use an example of one of the many ways this plugin could be used for.
As a popular hotel reviewer (that's you!), you write about your experiences whilst visiting hotels.
As the reader scrolls down the page, an image of the hotel room is displayed next to the text that is describing that room.
Once the text has finished talking about the image, it disappears again. Therefore, displaying the correct image at the correct time of the content.

A little later down the page, the subject explains how the reader could get a discount at the hotel. As the reader scrolls to that part of the text a call-to-action (CTA) button appears next to the text whereby the reader can click to get their discount.

How does it work?

It is very easy to add these powerful Text Linked Images or Buttons.
From the post editor page place your cursor at the location you would like the image or button to start to be displayed and click ADD FLOAT.
A pop-up menu is displayed whereby you can select an image from your WordPress media library, add your own URL of the image location, or one of the other many button options.
Then place your cursor once again in the post where you would like the image or button to disappear again and click REMOVE FLOAT.

Why use the plugin?

Display sales CTA buttons at the perfect time when the reader is ready to commit.

No need to keep scrolling back up the page to look at the image the text is describing for only to have to scroll all the way back down to where you were reading again.

Add a useful unique way to show your content.

Settings

Even though this WordPress plugin is very easy to use it does have many powerful features including:

  1. CSS options to position your image or CTA button.
  2. Alternate images so they are display left or right of the text.
  3. Mobile device option to show thumbnails in corners of the screen.
  4. Full page opaqued image so the image is displayed between the text and your background (some CSS knowledge maybe required depending on your WordPress theme).
  5. Add Shadow to the image or button to make it pop out or sympathise with your website design.
  6. Include your own UTM tracking codes to each individual link to identify which image or button is performing best.

Not using WordPress?

If you are not using WordPress but would still like to use Text Linked Images we are working on a non-plugin version that is simple to add to any HTML website and still provide all the options available with the plugin version. Please get in touch so we can keep you updated on our progress.

Examples

Sometimes it just helps to see the plugin in action, here are some demo examples and a couple from websites using this WordPress plugin already.
